Humans are not, no. They can't adjust their metabolisms to allow for extended sleep without dying, or without technological advances. I imagine if they could, those who live in polar regions would find winter much more agreeable.

I look human, but I am not. Some horrible twist of irony decided the males of my kind should look human instead of like the rest. My species are called 'plants'. If you have senses beyond human, you might be able to tell our scent is different, and likely also our taste.. but I would prefer you not put the second to the test.
