[Vash gives Knives's hand a small squeeze as the boy shares his feelings with him. He's known this feeling before. Of being out lost in a vast desert all on your own - he knew the feeling very well. The world being so big and him so small and alone. The small squeeze in the end being almost more of a comfort for himself as he keeps a clamp on his own feelings to keep it from being given back to Knives as well.

Yet, he's also hoping the small squeeze before the hand leaves him can also give Knives a little comfort.] Yeah. I know what you mean. It gets a little easier as time goes on, but it's just part of living on a planet I guess.

[Vash turns towards the teleporter.] Alright. I'm going to go through. Count to three once I disappear to give me time to get off the platform, alright? I'll see you on the other side.

[And with that Vash steps onto the teleporter and vanishes from sight.]
